Logan Reserve Road Upgrade

We are planning to upgrade 5 kilometres of Logan Reserve Road from Chambers Flat Road to Halcyon Way.

This project aims to identify and protect land for the future Logan Reserve Road transport corridor, ensuring infrastructure is available when needed and preventing development encroachment.

The upgrade will cater for the future traffic growth from Priority Development Areas (PDAs) like Yarrabilba and Greater Flagstone.;

The project is included in our Integrated local transport plan, for more information, please download our Way2Go Connecting Logan(PDF, 17MB).

This project is funded under our Capital Roadworks and Drainage Program and contributions from developers towards trunk road network requirements.

Project features

This project will deliver the following elements:

  • a wider road reserve with one travel lane and breakdown lane in each direction
  • kerb and channel to improve road drainage
  • upgraded underground drainage pipes and culverts
  • improved intersections, including signals at key locations
  • verge works, including concrete footpaths and reconstruction of property driveways.

Project benefits

The Logan Reserve Road upgrade project will deliver a range of benefits, including:

  • improved traffic flow and reduced congestion
  • quicker, more reliable journey times
  • safer environment as traffic increases for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians
  • increased road flood immunity.

Property impacts

To achieve a project of this scale, land acquisition is necessary from some properties to preserve the ultimate road corridor. We aim to minimise property impacts as much as possible.

At this stage we do not know the precise impacts on individual properties. We will contact affected property owners to discuss the impacts as soon as the proposed plans are available.

Project timing

The project is in the design phase and we will keep the community informed throughout the project.
