Revised Logan Planning Scheme
Revised Logan Planning Scheme update
The draft Logan Planning Scheme was available for public comment from February 2014 to April 2014. We received 693 submissions over that period. We sincerely thank everyone who took the time to give us feedback to improve the draft planning scheme.

Council's action on submissions
All submissions have now been considered by our planning team. The draft planning scheme has been revised in response to community feedback, technical review, and State Government requirements.
Council endorsed the revised version of the new Logan Planning Scheme on 18 November 2014. Council also endorsed a submissions analysis and response report detailing the matters raised in each submission, and how Council has responded to these matters.
The Revised Logan Planning Scheme 2014 and the submissions analysis and response report have now been sent to the Queensland Government for a final review. The State Government will send the planning scheme back to Council, possibly with some recommendations for further revisions. Once the scheme is approved and finalised, Council can then set a date for the scheme's implementation.
UPDATE - 7 January 2015: With the calling of the State election
for 31 January 2015 the State has now entered a 'caretaker period'. Therefore
Council will not receive a formal response from the State regarding the revised
scheme until a new State government is formed after the election. Council
was anticipating being able to adopt the revised scheme in early 2015.
The adoption and commencement of the revised scheme will now be delayed until
after the State provides a formal response to Council, following the outcome of
the State election.
Once implemented, the new Logan Planning Scheme will guide the way land and buildings are developed and used in the future, to help ensure the right development occurs in the right places.
