If you want Logan City Council to carry out water or sewerage works, you must lodge an application.
You will need to supply a copy of the council stamped and approved engineering plan for the proposed works. The plan should include a construction procedure sequencing, clearly showing the connection in detail e.g. design detail, longitudinal section for alteration to existing infrastructure etc.
For minor works where an approved plan is not needed, you can provide a drawing that shows the work to be completed.
Once we review the application, we will email you an application number. If all the required information has been provided we will have reviewed your application, we will send you an email with an application number for your reference. If all the information has been received we will provide a quotation within 3 to 4 weeks.

If you want to engage your own contractor to carry out the works, you must lodge an application for developer-delivered works.
You will need to supply the following information with your application:
- a copy of the council stamped approved engineering plan for the proposed works. The plan should include a construction procedure sequencing, clearly showing the connection in detail e.g. design detail, longitudinal section for alteration to existing infrastructure etc.
- a copy of the contractor's Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) for each activity to be carried out
- a copy of the contractor's risk assessment for each activity to be carried out
- emergency contact details for you and your contractor
- proof of the contractor's accreditation, credentials and competencies.
Once we review the application, we will email you an application number. If all the information has been received, we will give you a decision notice within 3 to 4 weeks.
If your application is not approved, you must lodge a new application for Council‑delivered works.

Council may approve reticulated water or acceptance of wastewater for developments outside the City of Logan if it can be shown that providing these services will not create financial or infrastructure issues for Council. The circumstances of each request will be determined by Council on the merits of the proposal.
