Temporary use of public land
Logan’s parks and open spaces can sometimes be used as lay down areas for commercial businesses undertaking works nearby. If you’re planning construction or maintenance activities that require temporary use of public land, you’ll need to submit a Temporary works application and seek formal Council approval.
This process helps us:
- minimise disruption to public spaces
- protect natural assets and vegetation
- coordinate with other park users and scheduled activities.
Depending on the scope and risk level of your works, you may be asked to provide:
- site plans
- risk assessments
- proof of public liability insurance
- a bond to cover any potential damage and ensure our parks remain up to standard.
If you are thinking of lodging a temporary works application, please ensure it is submitted at least 4 weeks before the intended work start date. Early contact helps us streamline approvals and avoid delays.
To get started, please complete the Parks temporary works application(PDF, 211KB) and email it to council@logan.qld.gov.au.
