Requesting a final inspection

Preparing for a commercial final, the following requirements must be checked:

  • All fees relevant to the permit are to be paid.
  • A full set of electronic as-constructed drawings in the same format as the stamped approved plans, emailed to council@logan.qld.gov.au.
  • All permit conditions have been achieved.
  • Test and tag all new devices installed with QR2ID (where applicable).
  • Form 9 - Backflow Prevention Valve Test Report for each installed device.

As-constructed drawings

The as-constructed drawings shall be completed in the same format as the stamped approved plans and must include the following:

  • Plumbing application number (all pages)
  • Drainage plan number (all pages)
  • Street address (all pages)
  • Real property address, e.g. Lot, RP or SP number (front/cover page)
  • The words “AS CONSTRUCTED” (all pages)
  • Plumber’s details, licence and phone number
  • Shop number, tenant, business name and floor (all pages)
  • Master meter and sub water meter table completed with meter details where applicable (existing water meters may be exempt)
  • Testable Backflow Prevention device table completed where applicable.

Note: Council will not accept handwriting or written corrections on any plans.

Council’s Plumbing Inspectors require the following documents to be available electronically prior to booking the commercial final inspection:

  • A full set of marked-up stamped approved plans (to be on site).
  • A full set of as-constructed drawings of the same size as the stamped approved plans.
  • A copy of the following documents where applicable:
    • Form 71 – Fire service test report
    • Form 9 – Backflow Prevention Valve Test Report for each device
    • TMV report(s)
    • Proof of watermark product certification for approved products.

The plumbing contractor will not be able to book a commercial final plumbing inspection if the above documents have not been provided to Council’s Plumbing team. Additional fees may apply.
