Frequently asked questions

What is a partnership?

A partnership means working together with another organisation to make your project better. Here’s what that looks like:

  • You can team up with any kind of organisation - like a business, charity, school, or community group. But the main applicant (the one applying for the grant) must be an eligible organisation under the Community Development Funding guidelines(PDF, 2MB).
  • A partnership is not just about hiring someone to run a one-hour workshop. It’s about working together, sharing ideas, and helping each other to make the project happen.
  • You will need to give us a letter from your partner organisation as part of your grant application. This letter should explain what they will do to help with the project - not just say they support you. It should include details about what they’re contributing, how they’ll be involved, and what role they’ll play in the project.
  • A good partnership shows that you and your partner are both committed to the project and working together to make it a success.

What does “benefit to the broader Logan community” mean?

Your project should help the wider Logan community - not just your members, clients, or students. Think about how your project includes or supports people beyond your organisation.

Can I apply for equipment only?

No. CDF does not fund applications that are only for equipment. Funding for equipment is only available if it is critical to the successful delivery of your project.

Also, an application can't request funding towards maintenance or renewal of equipment.

Is there a word limit for applications?

No, there are no word limits for Community Project Grant applications. You can provide as much detail as needed to clearly explain your project and its benefits in response to the assessment criteria.
