This is a guide of services and events for people who may be experiencing loneliness, homelessness, or doing it tough during the holiday period. This guide contains information about:

  • Free or low-cost Christmas events
  • Opportunities to lend a hand to those in need.

Loganlea Community Centre

Community Dinner - Facilitated by Save Church

Come along and join your neighbours for a healthy, free community dinner

  • When: every Thursday 6:00pm to 7:00pm
  • Where: 28-32 Timms Street, Loganlea
  • Free- no need to book, everyone is welcome.
  • Please note: The final Community Dinner for 2025 will be held on Thursday, 11 December. Dinners will resume on 15 January 2026.

Lighthouse Care

Lighthouse Care provide families with free

$25 trolleys to help alleviate the stress of providing food for their families.

To apply for the free $25 trolley call Lighthouse Care on 3896 6039.

If you are not eligible for food relief, you can purchase a $25 trolley online or by visiting or at the discount grocery stores at Loganholme and Hillcrest.

This service is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Serving our People (SOP) – The People’s Market  Free supermarket
  • When: Thursdays only
  • Time: 9:00am to 1:00pm
  • Where: 10-12 James Street, Beenleigh 

The final opening of The People's Market - Beenleigh for the year will be on Thursday 18 December from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

The market will reopen weekly from Thursday 8 January.

  • Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm
  • Where: Keng Tudor Park Recreation Centre, 71-81 Clarks Road, Loganholme 

The final opening of The People’s Market Logan for the year will be Friday 19 December 2025.

The market will reopen Monday 5 January 2026.
