Logan offers action-packed school holiday program

Touch football sessions and workshops on bionic hands, phone photography and e-waste deconstruction will feature in Logan City Council’s upcoming school holiday program.
City of Logan Mayor Jon Raven said the popular KRANK School Holiday program would run in April alongside activities at Logan Libraries and The Living Museum of Logan.
“There is no reason anyone should miss out on fun these holidays with the wide range of free and low-cost activities Logan has available,” Mayor Raven said.
“Our city is a great place for families and our school holiday programs are all about giving kids the chance to try something new, stay busy and enjoy their time off.”
KRANK
Open to Logan kids and teens aged 5 to 17, the KRANK program features outdoor adventures, creative arts and high-energy sports.
Bookings open at 9am on Monday, March 23 and interested participants should book early.

Logan Libraries
To celebrate Queensland Youth Week and the April school holidays, Logan Libraries will host a range of free events.
Local youths can create a simple budget for everyday life with finance expert Jackie Matjasec or attend a bionic hand workshop with DigiTech Tinker Lab, a writing masterclass with author Cody Hargreaves and a beeswax candles and lip balm workshop with Urban Bee Co.
Gimuy Walubara Yidinji author, storyteller and cultural educator Trevor Fourmile will run creative workshops about turtles and the Great Barrier Reef for children aged from seven to 11-years-old.
Robotics and creative workshops will also be held and a range of other activities for the school holidays.

The Living Museum of Logan
The Living Museum of Logan will host creative workshops from Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) during the holidays.
Kids can explore their emotions through different activities such as drawing, dancing and digital media at the free Express Yourself workshops by Thai-born, Melbourne-based ceramic artist Vipoo Srivilasa.
Families can drop into the museum in the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct between 10am and 4pm from Tuesday to Saturday during the school holidays to enjoy this activity.
