Logan City Council employees are making magic in the City of Logan through hundreds of donations to the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Appeal.

Council has supported the appeal for 22 years, and 2025 is another bumper year, with food items, household essentials, and toys ready to brighten Christmas Day.

Council CEO Darren Scott said the donated goodies under the Christmas tree at the Logan Central Administration Centre demonstrated the generosity of the organisation’s almost-2000 staff.

“We’re proud to have been part of the Salvo’s Christmas Appeal for more than 20 years, as just one of the ways we embrace good will and community spirit,” he said.

“We look forward to making Christmas a little more special for local families in need for many years to come.”

Logan Salvation Army Captain Ashley Biermann received the donations today, saying the gifts were especially appreciated this year.

“With cost of living so high, we’ve had more people than ever before who are doing it tough,” Mr Biermann said.

“Every donation will bring much needed joy this Christmas – finding their way to families across Logan.

“We’re so appreciative of the support and kindness of everyone at Logan City Council.”
