Community Events Fund

The Community Events Fund supports community organisations to deliver one-off, small-scale local events and larger-scale regional events for our community and visitors.

The fund supports events that:

  • celebrate community and Logan’s unique culture and identity
  • are engaging, creative and entertaining
  • contribute to a balanced calendar of events in Logan and diverse interests
  • bring people together to strengthen neighbourly connections and community spirit
  • collaborate with local groups and businesses, contributing to economic growth and local opportunities

Who can apply

  • Not-for-profit organisations
  • Primary and secondary schools
  • Parents & Citizens Associations
  • Neighbourhood Watch groups
  • Social enterprises.

Funding available

Funding category Amount per event Purpose
Local Community Event Any amount between $2,000 and $5,000 per event.

Smaller, local events that are for a particular sector or neighbourhood and deliver strong community benefit.

As part of your application, you must provide:

  • a copy of your organisation's Certificate of Currency for a minimum of $20 million public liability insurance
  • event run sheet
  • event site map (if applicable)
Regional Community Event Any amount between $2,000 and $10,000 per event.

Larger-scale, high-quality and impactful events that:

  • appeal to and attract visitors and the wider Logan community
  • draw large audiences
  • raise the profile and reputation of the City of Logan
  • deliver strong community and economic benefit
  • show potential for long-term growth or legacy outcomes, with a clear plan to achieve sustainability

As part of your application, you must provide:

  • a copy of your organisation's Certificate of Currency for a minimum of $20 million public liability insurance
  • event management plan (including a run sheet, site map, a plan to manage emergencies, bins and waste, security, traffic, etc.)

Timeframes

  • Funding is highly competitive.
  • As we can’t fund events that happen before grant outcomes are announced, we recommend applying as early as possible.
  • Each organisation can submit one application per grant round.

Incomplete, emailed or handwritten applications cannot be accepted.
