Park lovers welcome in ParkCare program

Council is calling on local nature lovers to join the ranks of its trial ParkCare program.

The ‘adopt-a-park’ initiative is open to anyone keen to contribute to Logan’s green spaces.

All ages and abilities are welcome.

Program volunteers assist Council’s parks staff by conducting quality checks, supporting educational campaigns, helping with maintenance or planting, and encouraging community use.

Participants are also using the City of Logan app to log issues including the dumping of rubbish, graffiti, broken glass, faulty play equipment and damage to trees.

The data has already led to improvements in their nominated parks.

Information will also be provided on when shoppers can get a refund and what to do if something goes wrong.

The sessions will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, November 11 at Logan Hyperdome Library and on Friday, November 14 at Logan West Library at Browns Plains.

Bookings are essential and can be made at Logan Libraries
