EnviroGrants funding boost for wildlife carers

Logan City Council is strengthening its long‑standing commitment to the environment by increasing EnviroGrants funding to $250,000, with wildlife carer grants doubled to $3,000 to better support the rehabilitation of local native animals.

For more than 30 years, Council’s EnviroGrants program has empowered community groups and individuals to protect, restore and enhance the local environment.

In 2026, the program is receiving a significant funding boost – reflecting growing community demand and the increasing pressures on wildlife and natural areas.

A major highlight of this year’s program is enhanced support for Logan wildlife carers, who play a critical role in rescuing and rehabilitating injured, orphaned and displaced native animals.

EnviroGrants are now open for application, closing 11 March 2026.

New exhibitions open at Logan Art Gallery

Two new exhibitions are opening at Logan Art Gallery, featuring both professional artists and a vibrant community photography showcase.

Ordinary days by artist Cindy Grimes is a collection of paintings exploring life in regional Queensland.

Her work, featuring the Western Downs region, captures everyday moments, family, and community, showing how people connect with place.

Building on the success of the Love Logan painting exhibition, Your view invites Logan community members to share their unique perspectives through photography.

Your view offers a platform for residents of all ages and backgrounds to contribute to a vibrant, collective portrait of the city – with the added honour of having their work exhibited for the community to enjoy in Logan Art Gallery.

Ordinary days and Your view are on display from 4 March – 2 April, 2026.
