Celebrate World Wildlife Day in Logan
It’s time to celebrate World Wildlife Day on Sunday, March 1 with hands-on activities organised by Logan City Council.
Animal lovers of all ages are invited to join in to Wildlife Wise, with activities suited for children aged 5 and over and an adult education session suited for age 13 and over.
Kids can meet native animals and take part in some hands-on nature activities led by friendly wildlife experts.
Wildlife Wise will take place from 9:30am at the Tudor Park Community Centre, Loganholme.
The event is free with bookings required, register your interest through Eventbrite.
Community Assistance Day for Logan residents
The Energy and Water Ombudsman is hosting a free Bring Your Bills/Community Assistance Day in Logan Central on Thursday, February 26.
Community members can speak directly with energy, water and telecommunications providers – as well as financial and community support services – to get help with bills, payment difficulties, disputes or service issues.
Drop in any time between 9:00am and 3:00pm to Logan Entertainment Centre, 170 Wembley Rd, Logan Central.

Festival of Hmong at Living Museum of Logan
Logan’s Hmong community is welcoming everyone for a special day of fun for all ages, with music, dance, food and much more on display.
The Festival of Hmong event on Saturday, March 7 celebrates the Hmong Journeys: Threads of Home exhibition currently on display at the Living Museum of Logan until September 2026.
The event includes face painting, food stalls and markets, colourful fashion shows displaying Hmong traditional dress, with live music and dance throughout the day.

Free community grant writing workshops
Logan City Council is delivering grant writing workshops to assist people applying for the upcoming Community Project Grant youth round.
Grants of up to $10,000 currently available for youth and intergenerational projects, with applications closing on Sunday, March 22.
The workshops aim to build confidence in writing a grant application and strengthening project ideas.
Two free sessions will be held on Thursday, March 5: Grant Writing Essentials at 9:30am to 11:30am and Writing a Community Project Grant Application at 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Beenleigh Events Centre.
