Logan City Council has adopted a new structure for its Standing Committees to support its long-term vision for the city, Logan 2075.
Mayor Jon Raven said the refreshed committees would help Councillors and staff stay focused on delivering the city’s 50-year goals.
“We’ve set our sights on some ambitious long-term goals to push the city forward purposefully,” he said.
“We’re now starting to build those goals into our day-to-day work at Council, so they become second-nature in our thinking and doing.
“Our committees meet monthly to discuss and debate the programs and services we deliver, so it makes sense to align their names and focus areas with Logan 2075.”

The new committees met for the first time last week and recommendations were presented to this week’s Ordinary Council meeting for endorsement.
Council endorsed the Logan 2075 vision in April. Work to develop a set of streamlined, aspirational strategies – delivered in 10-year blocks – will soon begin, subject to funding in the upcoming 2026/27 Budget, which will be delivered on June 22.
