Council delivers more choice with online chat
Logan City Council has launched a new online chat feature to give residents and ratepayers another easy way to get in touch.
The feature allows people to ask a question or get help from Council’s customer service team without picking up the phone or sending an email.
The chat appears as a small pop-up on Council’s website – logan.qld.gov.au
Simply click to start a conversation and the team will respond in real time during business hours.
Look for the chat icon in the corner of the page and click to open it to connect.
Ratepayers can ask about their notice, payment options, concessions or anything else they would normally handle over the phone or at Council’s customer service counters without waiting on hold.

Intersection upgrade underway
Works are underway to upgrade the intersection of Chambers Flat Road, Entrance Street and Samara Street in Crestmead.
Construction is expected to take about four months.
The project will include new traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, bike lanes, footpaths and street lighting.
It is designed to create a safer and more accessible intersection for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
Some night works will be required on Chambers Flat Road due to traffic volumes. Nearby residents and businesses will be notified in advance.
Drainage works begin in Crestmead
Works will begin next week on a major stormwater drainage upgrade in Crestmead, covering parts of Tulong, Barakee, Kyogle, Bushlark and Carinya Streets.
New drainage infrastructure will be installed to improve the movement of stormwater through the catchment.
The works will also include road repairs, footpath and kerb upgrades and driveway reconstruction where necessary.
The project is designed to reduce the impacts of stormwater runoff and improve safety across the area, including along nearby Browns Plains Road.
Traffic management will be in place during construction.
