Homelessness is a growing issue in Logan City Council area. While primarily the state government responsibility, the Council also has a responsibility to make decisions that benefit residents and could be used to make a positive difference.
Action required in response to this issue:
Call on Logan City Council to formally investigate ways they can relax local laws or provide support to make safe accommodation options available. This could include, but not limited to:
Note: Caravans and Tiny Homes on wheels have the ability to be moved during floods, allowing them to be in all flood zones including High Flow Areas. These are all within Logan City Council ability to influence affordable housing supply in Logan City Council area.
