Notifiable activities under the Environmental Protection Act 1994

A notifiable activity is an activity your business conducts and that could potentially cause harm to the environment. If you are conducting a notifiable activity as per Schedule 3 of the Environmental Protection Act 1994, you will need to notify the Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation using their approved form. However, if you have an approved environmental authority which allows you to conduct a notifiable activity you are not required to notify the Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
