General

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into this competition deems acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this competition, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.

Who can enter

  1. Entry is open to all residents of Logan over the age of 18, as of the date of entry, who have fulfilled the requirements set out below.
  2. Employees of the Promoter, Logan City Council and associated agencies and companies may enter the competition. However, employees of the City Safety and Liveability branch or the Health, Environment and Sustainability branch are not eligible to receive prizes. The Promoter is Logan City Council (ABN 21 627 796 435) of 150 Wembley Road, Logan Central QLD 4114.

How and when to enter

  1. Entrants may enter this competition during the Promotional Period of 21 March 2026.
  2. One entry per eligible resident of Logan over the age of 18 is permitted. Entrants may only be selected for one prize. If the same entrant is drawn multiple times, a redraw will occur for that prize. Each entry must be unique and received within the Promotional Period.
  3. The pet for which the registration applies must be desexed, microchipped, and be one of the following:
    1. Registered during the 2025 period; or
    2. A recently adopted animal from outside the City of Logan (evidence required); or
    3. A new animal born in 2026 that has not yet been registered.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right to request evidence of the animal’s previous registration, desexed status and microchip details.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. Computer‑generated or invalid entries will not be accepted.
  6. The competition commences at 8:00am AEST on 21 March 2026 and closes at 10:00am AEST on 9 May 2026 (the “Promotional Period”).

Winner selection

  1. Winners will be selected at random by representatives from Logan City Council.
  2. Winners must have pre‑booked and attended the “Leave It” event to be eligible for a prize.
  3. The Promoter may select additional reserve entries in the event that a winner cannot be contacted or forfeits their prize.
  4. Prizes must be collected from the Animal Management Centre at a later date following the event.

Number of entries permitted

  1. One entry per eligible resident of Logan over the age of 18 is permitted. Entrants may only be selected for one prize. If an entrant is drawn for more than one prize, a redraw will occur. Each entry must be unique and received within the Promotional Period.

1 year registration for 1 desexed animal in the 2026/27 registration period. The registration period commences from 1 August 2026.

The pet for whom the registration is to apply must be desexed, microchipped, and hold either:

  1. Registered during the 2025 period; or
  2. A recently adopted animal from outside the City of Logan (evidence to be provided); or
  3. A new animal born in 2026 yet to be registered.
  1. The Promoter will not be liable if a winner cannot be contacted and forfeits their prize. No correspondence will be entered into.
  2. Prizes and prize vouchers may be subject to additional Terms and Conditions.

Further terms and conditions

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions if this competition cannot be run as originally planned. The Promoter may also cancel or suspend this competition if an event beyond its control corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition. The Promoter will disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this competition.
  2. The Promoter highly recommends that a mobile phone number and email address be provided when requested for ease of correspondence and potential prize delivery. The Promoter makes all reasonable efforts to ensure winners receive their prizes.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to sign a winner’s deed of release or other relevant forms and to provide proof of identity, age and residency. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. If suitable proof cannot be provided, the prize will be forfeited in full and no substitute offered.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right to rejudge if an entrant claiming to be a winner cannot satisfy these Terms and Conditions.
  5. Chance plays a part in determining any winner. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Prizes are subject to availability and are not transferable or exchangeable. Prizes must be collected at a nominated location and time, with relevant identification provided.

Copyright, statutory guarantees, waiver and liability

  1. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. Logan City Council collects personal information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this competition, including determining and notifying winners. Personal information is not sold and may be disclosed to service providers solely for prize fulfilment. Requests for access may be made to The Privacy Officer, Legal Compliance Department, Logan City Council, 150 Wembley Road, Logan Central QLD 4114.
  2. Winners agree to participate in promotional activities, including interviews and photography, and grant the Promoter a perpetual, non‑exclusive licence to use such material in all media worldwide without compensation.
  3. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits statutory consumer guarantees under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or similar laws (“Non‑Excludable Guarantees”). Except where liability cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter excludes all liability for loss, damage or injury arising from the promotion.
  4. Except for liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from:
    1. technical difficulties or equipment malfunction;
    2. theft, unauthorised access or third‑party interference;
    3. late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected entries or prize claims;
    4. any variation in prize value;
    5. any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or
    6. the use of a prize.
