The City of Logan People’s Excellence Awards
The City of Logan People’s Excellence Awards is a new, multi-category program that celebrates individuals, groups, clubs, and organisations whose contributions have shaped our city’s identity, progress, and community spirit.
This initiative shines a spotlight on a diverse range of achievements, bringing together inspiring stories of impact, dedication, and excellence from every corner of the community.
The program will culminate in a formal event in March 2026, where winners across all categories will be announced and honoured.
Timeframes
- Nominations open - 1 December 2025 at 4:00pm
- Nominations close - 18 January 2026 at 11:59pm
- Nominations are judged - 27 to 29 January 2026
- Winners are announced - March 2026.
Award categories
- Arts and Heritage Award - Recognises individuals or groups who have made a significant contribution to Logan’s artistic and cultural landscape.
- Environmental Award - For those leading the way in environmental stewardship and sustainability in Logan.
- Innovation Award - For creative thinkers and problem-solvers who advance Logan through innovation.
- Social Impact Award - Honours those who have positively influenced the wellbeing and social fabric of Logan.
- Sports Award - Showcasing excellence and contributions in sport across Logan and celebrating athletes of all abilities.
- Volunteer Award - Celebrates outstanding voluntary service that strengthens Logan’s community spirit.
- Mayor’s Excellence Award - This honour celebrates exceptional achievement or contribution that stands out across all categories.
Nominations
Nominations are now closed for the 2026 City of Logan People’s Excellence Awards. Nominations for the 2027 Awards will open on Friday 1 May 2026.
