The KRANK School Holiday Program connects children and young people across Logan with a diverse range of free and low-cost school holiday activities, delivered during the Queensland school holidays.
We're always interested in hearing from organisations, businesses and facilitators who can deliver fun, inclusive and engaging activities for children and young people aged 5 to 17 years. We’re looking for activities that give young people opportunities to try new things, learn new skills, build confidence, stay active and connect with others.
Before registering your interest or applying to become a KRANK provider, please read the following information pages to make sure the program is suitable for you and that you can meet the provider requirements.
You can submit an expression of interest at any time. If applications are not currently open, we'll keep your details on file and contact you when the next application round opens.
The next provider application round opens on Monday 9 November 2026 for activities delivered between June/July 2027 and April 2028.

As a KRANK provider, you may receive funding from Council to help cover the cost of delivering your activity. This may include:
- facilitator costs
- consumable materials
- venue hire
- other costs directly related to delivering the activity.
Funding requests should demonstrate value for money.
You can also charge participants a low-cost fee, which is paid directly to you and retained by you. We encourage providers to keep participant fees as low as possible to help make KRANK activities affordable and accessible.
How is the amount of funding determined?
You can tell us how much funding you need to deliver your activity. When considering funding requests, we look at factors including:
- value for money
- the cost of delivering your activity
- income from participant fees
- participation numbers
- activity duration and delivery
- community need
- benefit to Logan children, young people and families.
What happens to the fee paid by participants at my activity?
Any agreed participant fee is paid directly to you and retained by you. If you charge a participant fee, you are responsible for collecting payment from participants.
How many activities can I apply for?
You can apply for as many activities as you have capacity to manage, promote and deliver. Applying for an activity does not guarantee that it will be included in the KRANK program. You’ll be advised which activities have been successful following the application and assessment process.

- have your KRANK activities promoted through Council channels
- increase community awareness of your organisation or business
- connect with Logan children, young people and families
- help provide fun, affordable opportunities for young people to try new things, learn new skills and connect with others.
Suitability
We are looking to deliver activities across all areas of our city. Your activities should:
- demonstrate value for money
- align with the KRANK School Holiday program’s purpose
- be free or low-cost
- be for children and young people aged 5 to 17 years
- be for Logan residents
- meet existing or emerging community needs.
Preference is given to providers based in Logan and providers willing to travel to locations across the City of Logan. If you're looking for a venue or park for your activity, see our website for locations of our fantastic community centres or parks. Venues and parks are booked by providers.
Eligibility - Certification requirements
To be eligible as a provider, if your application is successful, you will need to provide us with:
- $20 million public liability insurance certificate
- accredited first aid and CPR qualifications for at least one facilitator at each in-person activity
- Blue cards for all facilitators, where required by Blue Card Services
- a risk management plan for each activity
- copies of relevant qualifications for facilitators delivering your activity, where applicable.
Terms and conditions
As a KRANK provider, you’re required to:
- sign a contract with Council
- complete a provider induction
- manage participant bookings and registrations
- complete all required reporting after your activities
- submit invoices by the due dates outlined in your contract
- wear a KRANK t-shirt and display the supplied KRANK signage at in-person activities
- keep all required certifications and qualifications current and provide updated copies to Council
- book and pay for your venue or park, where required
- help promote your KRANK activities through your own channels where appropriate, using the required KRANK and Council branding.
KRANK activities are delivered during the Queensland school holiday periods.
For the 2027/28 program, activities will be delivered during:
- Saturday 26 June to Sunday 11 July 2027
- Saturday 18 September to Sunday 3 October 2027
- Saturday 8 January and Sunday 23 January 2028
- Saturday 1 April and Thursday 13 April 2028, excluding the Easter break.
You can nominate the school holiday periods, preferred dates and locations that suit you when you apply. Activities can be delivered as a one-off session or multiple times during a school holiday period.
We aim to provide a good spread of activities across Logan, so being flexible with dates and locations is encouraged.
Activities can be designed for children aged 5 to 11 years, young people aged 12 to 17 years, or the full 5 to 17 year age range.
Participant registration
All successful KRANK activities will be promoted through Council's online booking system.
Council will create the listings, but providers are responsible for managing participant bookings and registrations. Successful providers will receive training on how to use the system and manage bookings and registrations.
Bookings must not be accepted before the official booking opening date and time.
If you need to use another website for registration or payment, this can be discussed with Council as part of the application and programming process.
Provider reporting
Providers are required to complete reporting after each activity and submit it by the required due date. Reporting requirements will be confirmed with successful providers.
