Neighbour Day

neighbours

Neighbour Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of March. It's a great chance to meet new friends and connect with people in your neighbourhood. Don’t miss out on the fun and the opportunity to make new connections.

Neighbour Day is part of Relationships Australia’s Neighbours Every Day campaign. It's all about building community connections to combat loneliness and help everyone feel like they belong. Neighbour Day is Australia’s annual day of action, giving you the perfect chance to increase social connections in your local area. You can celebrate in many ways, like hosting or supporting events that bring your community together.

Neighbour Day events in Logan are planned by your local Community Centres, Neighbourhood Groups and Community Gardens each year. If you are a local community group and would like your Neighbour Day event promoted, please email grants@logan.qld.gov.au.

Neighbour Day Resources

Council has put together some resources to help you connect with your neighbours, including our connection postcard, colouring pages and more.

Welcome to the Neighbour Day resources page! This year, Council has created a range of new resources and tools to help you plan and promote your Neighbour Day events. Whether you're hosting a street party, a community picnic or a simple get-together, these resources will make your event a success.

Three fun and engaging colouring pages for kids and adults alike. These pages are perfect for adding a creative touch to your event and keeping the little ones entertained.

Our refreshed postcard is designed to help you build relationships with your neighbours. Tick the appropriate box or write a friendly note, introduce yourself and leave it in your neighbour's letterbox to start a new connection. It all starts with hello.

If you would like a hardcopy version of this postcard, ask for them at your local library, one of our customer service centres or at your local community centre.

If you have any questions about these resources, please call our Community Development team on 07 3412 3412 or email council@logan.qld.gov.au.
