Corky Passionflower

Scientific name: Passiflora suberosa

Description

• Perennial vine, climbing up to 5 metres high
• Bases of older stems become white and corky
• Alternately arranged, three pointed lobed leaves, although sometimes lacks the lobes
• Flowers throughout most of the year with pale green-yellow flowers 1 to 2 centimetres across
• Fruits are purple-black berries.

Involves lopping the weed close to the ground and then spraying the stump immediately (within 15 seconds) with herbicide to ensure absorption.
