Great Mates Meet

 

Great Mates Meet is a casual, but social meet up for men of any age, who want to participate in some conversation, laughs, and mateship. The meet is a great opportunity to vent frustrations, or just to come and have a yarn. There is a free BBQ, as well as snacks, fruit and coffee.

Men4Respect - YFS


Through Men4Respect, male Youth Ambassadors aim to engage young men aged 14 to 21 years.

Young men learn about equality, respectful relationships, consent and healthy masculinity.

ATSICHS Social Men’s Group


These groups  a great opportunity to come together and yarn with other members of our ATSICHS community.  Light snacks are provided. RSVPs are essential. Registration forms can be found on the ATSICHS Brisbane website.

There are currently four groups meeting in Logan at the following locations:

Dads’ Time

 

Dad's Time is a father oriented play group, focusing on the relationship between dads and their kids, as well as between other dads. Dad's Time enjoys a range of activities, free play, and outdoor fun, as well as a free healthy morning tea. The group is welcome to any fathers, uncles, granddads and other male members of the family, to bring their young ones along for fun and play.

When: Saturdays 9:30am to 11:30am during school term.

Yarrabilba Dad’s Group

 

A place for dads to hang out with other dads and focus on being the best dads we can be. Open to all dads and significant caregivers raising children. Free BBQ provided.

When: First Thursday of every month

Men’s Legal Service is a not-for-profit law firm. They offer cost-effective legal services to men at turning points in their lives.

Digital Dads Group


Digital Dads Group gives fathers the opportunity to connect nationwide through online meetings. There are no agendas and no judging.

The only qualification is that you identify as a new or expecting father or father figure, or about to become one.

SMS4dads


New and soon-to-be-dads can now receive useful messages and tips matched to their baby's age.

Text messages are sent straight to dad's phones with tips, information and links to other services. This is to help fathers understand and connect with their baby and with parenthood.

Young Dad’s Squad


The Young Dads Squad is facilitated YFS Step by Step team and is designed for young dads aged 25 years and under.

This is a space for dads from diverse cultures to hang out once a week, share a meal and participate in fun activities like video games, fishing, geocaching, BBQ and much more. The group provides a safe space to share experiences on the issues and stigma young dads face without feeling judged or criticised.  

Young Dads Squad aims to build the capacity of young dads in Logan so they can be the best fathers and role models they can be.

Responsible Men - YFS


Responsible Men is a behaviour-change program for men in the Logan area aged 18 years and above, who use violence or are controlling in their relationships. During the Responsible Men program we focus on how you can take responsibility to change your behaviour and decision-making without using violence, and how you can use this knowledge to make positive changes for healthy and safe relationships.

Man Up


Man Up can help you with domestic violence, relationship problems, mental health, alcohol and drug abuse. Join the brotherhood. This is for men of all ages.

The Men’s Table

 

Logan’s first Men’s Table begins on 22 May 2024 at 6:30pm at the Diggers Services Club in Logan.

The Men’s Table creates a unique environment for men to share openly about their lives, their challenges, their highs and lows with a group of men who they learn to know, like and trust.

After it’s ‘Entrée’ launch in May, the group will meet monthly on the same day and at the same time. New members are always welcome.

Men’s Circle Groups - Centre for Men and Families Australia

 

The Centre for Men and Families facilitate men’s groups around the country and in virtual spaces to provide opportunities for men to connect and forge real and authentic friendships with other men. These groups are known as “Circles”.

A circle is a safe space for men to have their experiences heard and honored without judgment.

Australian Men's Health Forum (AMHF) – News and other resources for men's health in Australia.

Aboriginal Fathers Stayin' On Track - This is the place to yarn up about being a young dad. Stayin’ On Track is an online resource for young Aboriginal dads. It’s a site for mentoring and supporting ya mates to stay on track and be good dads.

Black Dog Institute – A medical research institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan. You can find research and educational programs, as well as digital tools and apps and much more.

Blokepedia – Works alongside businesses to deliver workplace training, resources and programs. Blokepedia provides events that empower and support men. Blokepedia enhances men’s social, emotional and physical health.    

Dads Group Inc. - Dads Group Inc. promotes positive parenting for men and gives new dads the support and connection they need. Find a dads group to join or find out how to start your own to share your experiences with other dads.

The Father Hood – Showcases men as fathers who are doing it their way and doing it well. Find support for fathers to navigate through having kids with tips and techniques for parenthood.

The Fathering Project ­- The Fathering Project delivers resources, programs and event for dads and father-figures. Find out how you can volunteer at your children’s school to start a dad’s group. You will have support through Dads Group Leader mentors and much more.
