Latest update

August 2026

Construction on this project is now complete.

Overview

We completed an intersection upgrade at Logan Reserve Road and School Road in Logan Reserve, with support from the Australian Government's Black Spot Program.

The Black Spot Program was introduced as part of the Australian Government's commitment to reduce the risk of crashes. The program targets locations where crashes have occurred or are at risk of happening.

We are committed to improving road safety across Logan. The upgrade will help deliver a safer intersection by introducing a signalised intersection to formalise when vehicles can go, stop and turn, and introducing pedestrian crossing at the traffic lights.

Features

The upgrade includes:

  • installation of traffic signals to formalise when vehicles can go, stop and turn
  • installation of signalised pedestrian crossings at the intersection and removal of the lollypop school crossing areas
  • resurfacing and restoration of the road where needed
  • updating line markings, including longer turning lanes to improve traffic flow

Benefits

The intersection upgrade delivers a range of benefits, including:

  • reduced congestion during school drop-off and pick-up times
  • quicker and more reliable travel times
  • safer and more accessible environment for drivers, pedestrians and students.
