Chambers Flat Road, Entrance and Samara Streets Intersection Upgrade

Latest update - May 2026
Construction is scheduled to begin from late June and will take approximately 4 months to complete (construction and weather conditions permitting).
The project will include the installation of traffic lights to help make the intersection safer for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, as well as improve traffic flow.
Project overview
We are upgrading the intersection of Chambers Flat Road at Entrance Street / Samara Street with new traffic lights. This new intersection will improve safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians as the area grows.
The City of Logan is the fastest growing local government area in Queensland, with more people wanting to call Logan home every year. Improving our road network is one of the ways we’re unlocking Logan’s potential and preparing for the future.
Most works will occur Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm (excluding public holidays). We will let nearby residents and businesses know in advance if night work is scheduled.
As Chambers Flat Road is a major distributor with heavy morning and afternoon traffic, some night works will be needed between 8:00pm and 5:00am.
Delays or detours may occur at Entrance Street which serves as the access to Chambers Flat Road for a large catchment of adjoining streets. All events will be traffic controlled.
Project timing
Scheduled to commence from late June 2026, the upgrade will take approximately 4 months, construction and weather conditions permitting.
