Project overview

The project has widened Loganlea Road, between the Logan Motorway at Meadowbrook, and to the northbound M1 on-ramp at Slacks Creek.

These $80 million dollar works were delivered under Council’s Major Roads Program and funded in part by the Australian Government through the Investment Road and Rail Program.

Project features

The upgrade has:

  • widened Loganlea Road to 3 lanes in both directions
  • added a new northbound lane and shared path on the Ray Hodgson Bridge
  • installed new stormwater infrastructure and kerbing to improve road and verge drainage
  • added a new shared pathway northbound and upgraded to the existing southern pathway
  • upgraded and added new traffic signals at intersections
  • added new and upgraded bus stops
  • added fauna protection fencing from Queens Road to the Slacks Creek Environmental Park.

Project timeline

Early service relocation works started in late 2022. Early works including clearing commenced from March 2023 and the project was completed in February 2025.
