Aussie Bird Count

Help create a snapshot of Logan’s bird species by heading outdoors to count the birds you see in your front yard, backyard, courtyard, local park or natural areas.

Participating is easy - just follow these 5 steps to contribute to BirdLife Australia’s conservation efforts:

1. Download the free app or head online to participate between 20 and 26 October.
2. Spend 20 minutes in your favourite outdoor space and record the birds you see.
3. Count the birds - submit your results via the app or web form.
4. Use the Bird Finder - a built-in tool helps identify birds you’re unsure of.
5. Submit your count - you can count as many times as you like. Every count helps!

Your contributions help BirdLife Australia track trends in bird populations over time. Think of birds as a barometer for nature - their health is one of the best indicators of the environment’s wellbeing.
