Aussie Bird Count

Help create a snapshot of Logan’s bird species by heading outdoors to count the birds you see in your front yard, backyard, courtyard, local park or natural areas.

Participating is easy – just follow these 5 steps to contribute to BirdLife Australia’s conservation efforts:

  1. Download the free app or head online to participate between the 20-26 October.
  2. Spend 20 minutes in your favourite outdoor space and record the birds you see.
  3. Count the birds – submit your results via the app or web form.
  4. Use the Bird Finder – a built-in tool helps identify birds you’re unsure of.
  5. Submit your count – you can count as many times as you like. Every count helps!

Your contributions help BirdLife Australia track trends in bird populations over time. Think of birds as a barometer for nature – their health is one of the best indicators of the environment’s wellbeing.
