Koala Conservation and Drone Workshop
Next date: Saturday, 31 January 2026 | 08:30 AM
to 10:30 AM
Watergum has recently carried out a 50-hectare thermal drone survey of Neville Lawrie Reserve to search for local koalas, in partnership with Logan City Council.
At this workshop, we’ll share the results of the survey with the community, explore what they mean for koala conservation in the area, and showcase how drone technology is helping scientists and environmental groups protect wildlife.
You’ll also get the chance to check out our drone up close and chat with us about how it’s helping to protect koalas.
Sign up today, spaces are limited!
This workshop is perfect for landholders, community members, and anyone passionate about protecting koalas and their environment. For more information, contact Watergum at info@watergum.org or call 07 2103 5796.
This event is supported by the Logan City Council EnviroGrants program.
