Next date: Thursday, 09 April 2026 | 07:00 PM
One of the great things about growing your own food is that with a little know-how, you can grow food nearly anywhere! Food gardens aren’t only for people that own their own homes and have massive backyards. With a bit of creativity and dedication, you can grow an amazing food garden living in a rental. Learning how to grow in containers and picking the right plants to grow can have you growing bucket loads of produce on a small foot print.
In this workshop, you’ll meet Sahar El-Chiekh from Sahar’s Suburban Garden (check her out in Instagram HERE). Sahar is a passionate container grower that has converted her rental backyard into a food growing paradise. Sahar will guide you on setting up, planting and maintaining a garden that will feed and nourish you, while keeping the landlords off your back.
