SW1–Berrinba Wetlands

Get close to nature with this lovely outdoor area at the Berrinba Wetlands Park. Located on the western edge of the wetlands, this small space offers a relatively secluded deck that has a hidden, lockable kitchenette and storage area.

The SW1 Berrinba Wetlands venue has a raised timber floor and 3 lockable cupboard spaces that contain a kitchenette and equipment storage.

Note: As the area is open to the public, a security guard is required for evening bookings (after 8:00pm) or at all times when there is alcohol on the premises. Security will be booked by Council.

Hire fees

Hourly rate (minimum 3 hours) - Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 10:30pm - $37 per hour
Saturday (minimum 4 hours)
Sunday (minimum 5 hours)

60 percent discount on standard rates for eligible non-profit organisations.

Hirer's obligations

Before the event:

Pick up venue key from Logan West Community Centre one day prior to event
Set up of tables and chairs
Provide your own cooking oil, cooking utensils, bin bags and food.

After the event:

Pack down of tables and chairs and wipe clean
Take rubbish out to the skip (located near interpretive centre)
Clean the kitchen and main floor (mop and broom available)
Leave the venue in the same condition as found. The venue must be cleaned-up and vacated by 10:30 pm
Return key to Logan West Community Centre.

Late cancellation fee

Hirers are required to advise Council in writing if they wish to cancel a booking and pay associated late cancellation fee:

Greater than 2 months’ notice of cancellation prior to booking - full refund of security bond. Non-refundable deposit will be retained.
1 to 2 months’ notice of cancellation prior to booking - half of hire fees deducted from security bond.
Less than 1 months’ notice of cancellation prior to booking - full hire fee deducted from security bond.
