Latest update - January 2026

Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2026 and will take approximately 4 months (pending site and weather conditions).

Generally, work activities will occur Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm (excluding public holidays). We’ll let nearby residents and businesses know if we need to work outside these hours.

Project overview

We’re upgrading the intersection at Bumstead Road and Julie Street at Crestmead and Park Ridge, with support from the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program.

The Black Spot Program was introduced as part of the Australian Government's commitment to reduce the risk of crashes. The program target's locations where crashes have occurred or are at risk of happening.

Crash data gathered over a recent five-year period confirmed 11 crashes were reported at this intersection, with 3 incidents requiring medical treatment. Additional crashes have occurred since this data was collected.

We are committed to improving road safety across Logan. This upgrade will help deliver a safer intersection by reducing the risk of potential future crashes.
