Apply for an ERA

Before you apply, refer to Before you start for information about planning, building and plumbing approvals that may be needed.

To apply:

• download and complete the Queensland Government DA Form 1 and Application for site specific environmental authority(PDF, 864KB)
• and return it to us with full payment. You can submit your application in person at our customer service centres, by post or email. Please see connect with us for our contact information
• include a plan with your application.

If required, make sure you include with your application a scale plan of the operation, including a layout plan. Delays in the assessment and approval process will occur if you don’t include all of the required information.

Amendments

To make an amendment to the existing Environmentally Relevant Activity, download and complete the Application for amendment of environmental authority(PDF, 859KB) and return to us.

Transfers

To transfer all or part of the existing Environmentally Relevant Activity, download and complete the Application to transfer all or part of an environmental authority(PDF, 925KB) and return to us.

Surrendering a licence

To surrender an existing Environmentally Relevant Activity, download and complete the Application for surrender of an environmental authority(PDF, 872KB) and return to us.

Amalgamation

To amalgamate two or more environmental authorities into a new authority, download and complete the Application to amalgamate environmental authorities(PDF, 664KB) and return to us.

Transitional environmental program
