Homelessness in our community
Homelessness can affect people from all walks of life and for many different reasons. While Council is not responsible for providing housing or homelessness services, we work alongside local services and community partners to support people experiencing homelessness in Logan. We also recognise our responsibility to the broader community and are committed to helping keep public spaces safe, welcoming and accessible for all.

What you can do
If you would like to help, please consider supporting local organisations that work directly with people experiencing homelessness. Many community groups and support services welcome donations of food, clothing and essential items, as well as volunteers who can assist with their programs and services.
Report a concern
If you have a concern about someone's safety, wellbeing or the use of a public space, the following services may be able to help.
- Call 000 if someone needs urgent medical assistance or is an immediate risk to themselves or others.
- Contact Policelink on 131 444 or make a report online for criminal activity, incidents and non-urgent police matters.
- Contact Council on 07 3412 3412 or make a report online for any public space or environmental health concerns.
For concerns about people sleeping on private land, contact Queensland Police Service on 000 in an emergency or Policelink on 131 444 for non-urgent matters.
